Maximilian Liang
Director
Maximilian is a IMDA Scholar with a bachelor’s degree in Film from LASALLE School of the Arts. As a filmmaker trained in directing and casting, his works have screened at various film festivals locally and internationally. In 2022, his thesis short film ‘Home Planet’ won the Best Cinematography Award in the Open Youth Category at the National Youth Festival Awards.
A newcomer in Multimedia Design, his credits include various productions by W!ld Rice, How Drama, Dream Academy and The TENG Company. He has also worked on the NDP show in Multimedia for the last three years.
As an artist, ‘Maxi’ believes that film and moving visuals can draw inspiration and make sense of both mundane and estranged things, eliciting feelings from the likes of forgotten memory and unactionable dreams. This belief influences his views of the world, fostering a desire to express stories lensed carefully in the same way.
